Georgina Campbell’s 2022 Ireland Food Guide

“Chef David Mullan has created a little piece of heaven at the Yacht club in Rosses Point where an effortlessly chic uncluttered maritime themed room looks and can feel like a bit of heaven. Fish and Bean is exactly what people dream of finding on the Wild Atlantic Way.. Simple, superb seafood served with style plus a view to die for.”

Supplied by the best / Meet Our Suppliers

We use only the freshest fish here at Fish & Bean, much of it caught in the waters outside our door and landed straight into our pans each day by our resident fishermen. And for our additional fish we chose Albatross Seafoods based in Killybegs Co. Donegal for the quality of their catch. Supplied daily we only use fresh caught fish for the best flavour.

All our meat is sourced from the Burns family farm located at Moneygold Co. Sligo. Gearld, Diarmuid and Cathal supply us with the highest quality meats which are reared in a unique micro-climate between sea and mountain pastures.

Fish & Bean are delighted to have Goatsbridge Trout as a supplier. Based in Thomastown Co. Kilkenny Mags Kirwan and her team are passionate about trout. Their knowledge and experience farming rainbow trout has been passed down through three generations, giving their trout products a unique taste and texture

We’re delighted to use chemical free vegetables for our salads, supplied fresh each day by Sean & Bob at Knocknarea Farm Co. Sligo.

By using only natural growing methods the vegetables are always densely packed with taste, flavour and most important, nutrients.

Our oysters are supplied directly from Glenn of the Sligo Oyster Experience, which is represented by the Wild Atlantic Oyster company in Lissadell, Sligo Bay, here on Ireland’s Northwest coast.

Sligo Bay has a history of oyster cultivation over two centuries and the large Pacific oyster species, Crassostrea Gigas have a unique taste and are highly prized in France and other continential companies

Here at Fish & Bean we love the Velvet Cloud range of handmade natural sheep’s milk yogurt and cheese.

Made on the family farm, just outside of Claremorris in Co Mayo, by the Flanagan family who have been farming here for generations. The milks and cheeses are creamy and mild and we’re proud to use these ingredients at Fish & Bean.

Some of our locally sourced beers come from the Lough Gill Brewery located in Sligo. Their extensive range of traditionally inspired beers with modern brewing styles make for interesting and refreshing tasting.

We use the Lough Gill beer to make our fresh Fish and Chip batter, which gives it that wonderful distinctive flavour.

Joe Henderson lands his lobsters directly to Dave in the kitchen ensuring that our lobsters are the freshest and most ethically sourced lobsters you will find anywhere.
