Meet Our Chef
Head chef and owner Dave Mullan has a passion food and cooking. Anyone that knows him will say he’s obsessed! Dave is skilled at combining flavours to bring the best out in the local produce that we source. Creating mouth watering seafood dishes, cooked with love and served up from our restaurant overlooking the sea.
We want Fish & Bean to be a relaxed place where family and friends can come together and enjoy the beautiful food that our locality has to offer, whilst taking in that wonderful salty air of the rugged Atlantic ocean.
We look forward to serving you!
Supplied by the best
Meet Our Suppliers
We use only the freshest fish here at Fish & Bean, much of it caught in the waters outside our door and landed straight into our pans each day by our resident fishermen.
And for our additional fish we chose Albatross Seafoods based in Killybegs Co. Donegal for the quality of their catch.
Supplied daily we only use fresh caught fish for the best flavour.
Burns Family Meats
All our meat is sourced from the Burns family farm located at Moneygold Co. Sligo. Gearld, Diarmuid and Cathal supply us with the highest quality meats which are reared in a unique micro-climate between sea and mountain pastures.
Cloud Picker Coffee
Fish & Bean have teamed up with Cloud Picker Coffee Roasters to bring you great tasting coffee from a supplier that also shares our food ethos and are committed to sustainability.
Cloud Picker Coffee was established in 2013 by Frank Kavanagh & Peter Sztal. Their coffee isn’t just roasted in Dublin, it’s chosen for its personality which means they go beyond the usual places to find it.
They hand roast weekly to order. Born from passion, curiosity and the quest to create a unique coffee product for the Irish market.
Fish & Bean are delighted to have Goatsbridge Trout as a supplier. Based in Thomastown Co. Kilkenny Mags Kirwan and her team are passionate about trout. Their knowledge and experience farming rainbow trout has been passed down through three generations, giving their trout products a unique taste and texture
We’re delighted to use chemical free vegetables for our salads, supplied fresh each day by Sean & Bob at Knocknarea Farm Co. Sligo.
By using only natural growing methods the vegetables are always densely packed with taste, flavour and most important, nutrients.
Sligo Oyster Experience
Our oysters are supplied directly from Glenn of the Sligo Oyster Experience, which is represented by the Wild Atlantic Oyster company in Lissadell, Sligo Bay, here on Ireland’s Northwest coast.
Sligo Bay has numerous inlets with ideal conditions for the cultivation of oysters, and has a history of oyster cultivation over two centuries and this results in a unique taste and large oysters of the Pacific oyster species, Crassostrea Gigas
Velvet Cloud Cheese
Here at Fish & Bean we love the Velvet Cloud range of handmade natural sheep’s milk yogurt and cheese.
Made on the family farm, just outside of Claremorris in Co Mayo, by the Flanagan family who have been farming here for generations. The milks and cheeses are creamy and mild and we’re proud to use these ingredients at Fish & Bean.
Some of our locally sourced beers come from the White Hag Craft Brewery located in Ballymote Co. Sligo. Their extensive range of traditionally inspired beers with modern brewing styles make for interesting and refreshing tasting.
We use the White Hag beer to make our fresh Fish and Chip batter, which gives it that wonderful distinctive flavour.
